Current Announcements

• NEW I have submitted the final course grades (anonymous sorted list) to the registrar. The anonymous sorted grades for the final exam, Final/sorted_grades.txt.
• The anonymous sorted grades for the combined homeworks scaled to 25, hw_sorted_grades.txt. The webassign portion is 332 points. The portion submitted on paper to me is worth 23 points for Homework 3 and 45 points for Homework 4, plus 5 bonus points for Homework 2, hence a possible total of 405/400 (times 25 for the 25% portion of the grade).
• Starting Wed, Jan 7, our class starts at 13:25pm and stops at 14:25pm, meeting for 60 minutes. There are 35 lectures for a total of 35∗60 = 2,100 = 14∗3∗50 minutes (the semester spans 16 weeks with 15 weeks of instruction [exclusive Spring Break] where 2 Mondays [Jan 5, MLK Holiday Jan 19] and 1 Friday [Apr 3, Spring Holiday] have no class). Friday lectures are held January 9 throug February 20, a total of 7 lectures, but there are no Friday lectures February 27 through and April 24, the last day of classes. Please let me know if you cannot arrive 5 minutes before and/or leave 5 minutes after the regularly scheduled class time.
• The course web sites for MA 405 Spring 2013, Spring 2012, Spring 2009, Spring 1996 and for the MA 305 Spring 2004, Spring 2003, Spring 2002, Spring 2001, Spring 2000, Spring 1998, Fall 1997 contain old homeworks, mid-semester exams, and anonymous grade lists. Note that the MA 305 course is a bit less advanced than MA 405.
